But hw come their warranty diff from hua wei phone which all comes with 2y warranty .. hmm... If my main concern is camera do u guys think this or the new asus 5 is better?

No surprise that there is diff for the warranty as Huawei (P/Mate Series) is marketed as premium while Honor as affordable which is at lower price with similiar spec eg. P10 vs Honor 9, P20 vs Honor 10

For camera, V10 vs 2018 Asus 5, some ref for both as compare to Nokia 7 plus

Assuming all set as auto, seems both quite close while V10 tends to be a bit higher exposed ... depends on individual preference.

Actually not all Huawei phone models are of premium standard.. their Nova and Y series phones are also fairly affordable..

Honor 10 view
hmm i guess in terms of design, the asus zenfone 5 does look nicer with the notch if you don't mind the iphone x copy cat design . the view 10 processor is however faster than what is on the asus zf5 since it belongs to the same range as the mate 10 pro and storage is bigger as well. guess it depends whether you want to be paying more for better cpu and storage size. both are quite fine phones haha

Thx for the reminder -almost forgot that its Nova and Y series, which indeed a bit overpriced except a good looking ID compare to Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 series ( Nova 2i vs Redmi Note 5 and Y7 Prime vs Redmi Note 5A Prime )- Kirin 659 vs SD636 and same SD435- mayb good as telco free set or if one wants longer warranty.

Wah Huawei really stepping their game up mens.. :s12:

Ya, they have been putting a lot of effort to capture the market in M'sia last few years (flash hr sales, 6 mths 1 to 1 exchange, build up supply chain network, launched there 7x, 9 lite, V10 ,M3 lite & M3 pad and coming Honor 10) and now try to gear up here - few months back, they initiated here a one time sale for honor 8 pro at<$300 ...

Could it also be that they have been restricted from making inroads into USA / NAM and maybe EUR market.
So might as well compete here for more foothold.

yeah, maybe so, they seem to be expanding to SEA regions quite aggressively if you see the honor 9 lite sales in malaysia, really gaining quite a bit of market share there.

Per Huawei SG support website, under HiCare support:

Upcoming 2017 P and Mate Series and all nova, G, Y & Lite Series Launched After Oct 2017

https://consumer.huawei.com/sg/support/hicareservice/
Didn't know the mid-range and low-range Huawei phones now offer 2yrs warranty, before that Huawei only offered 1yr warranty for those.

In the past, only OPPO offer 2yrs warranty for all their phones, irregardless of its price. :o

Huawei
-getting more and more ex and no longer price friendly- flagship S$800-S$1000 + -really worth that much for own SOC + throw in high ram storage + gimmick feature + ID (copied notch/fake full screen or twilight or glass finish) ?
-not flagship - good looking ID with castrated HW (single wifi, LTE-GSM), worth for S$300+?
-Honor series (Mid-High end series) - good looking ID with flagship matchable HW and similiar gimmick feature at ard 30% lesser price may still sound worth/tally with its value

On the other hand,
Xiaomi
-Flagship - Mix/Mi/Mi Note - with gd HW (SD 800/600 series), fairly design element, price at a bit lower than Huawei
-Non flagship - with gd HW (SD 600/400 series) but no design, affordable, from $100-$300+

Not seing much effort/focus from Xiaomi on the market here as official model available here are mostly old models ... when only there is high market competition, we can really benefit and get something that is really worth its value..

At Malaysia, 9 Lite was selling as low as RM600+ ... its cool ID is really eye catching and with 4 cam, "full screen" , face ID unlock and Msia still has GSM...and most ppl dun really care its spec rather than its ID...it shd be able to sell alot..

Seems like they don't have it at Singtel with contract.

Sent from Xiaomi MI MIX 2 using GAGT
