Know an "old school" engineer friend who still use a belt pouch.

Huawei Mate 9: good services

Hi,

Even with translucent back-cover and laminate (normal), a careless dropped cracked the screen in that 3mm top-left corner that was exposed.

Luckily there was warranty for screen at Huawei service center (Somerset313), and got it replaced.

After that, as splurged to add X-One "Armor Visor" laminate over the screen. Still got about 1mm rim not covered. Bo bian.

Overall, good profession service from Service Center staff.

Generally, the thicker and softer the cover the better, since it can absorb the energy of the drop. The default polycarbonate casing is too thin and rigid, although it is very light and aesthetic.

Huawei Mate 10 is even cheaper and better than lg v30. You don't need to worry about bootloop and screen burn in as well.

Unfortunately its not yet released. Maybe because the Mate 10 is not released in the US. However there's no sign of UAG Mate 10 Pro either.

I'm using the Spigen Rugged Armour for the time being.
