OoenVPN. Think it was already there.
Cos I remember Apple iPhone was not able to use the normal L2TP(?) Or something.
Then need to configure OpenVPN for users....

Not an Apple user or have any around then and now. So didn't go too deep into it. Tried configure and the iPhone user able to connect. Then left it as it is.

:ROFLMAO: ok... Then yes the ac87u is not compatible because of the wifi chipset used in that model. Ac5300 should be compatible with any firmware from late 2018 onwards
Mesh is not a thing back then, 2015.
It's after a year or 2, then they started it and have AI-Mesh, maybe in 2017/2018.....

Kept looking..... And hoped it will be compatible.... In the end, rubbish router... Not useful.

Wi-Fi 6 mesh router is so cheap now anyway..... VPN can just get at about US$3/month if needed.
But not much travel to China now.
More of US/EU if got chance.

That's the way technology evolves, new stuff will keep coming. I myself upgraded to AX86U. Gave the ac5300 to my friend.
