The last two updates made the wifi signal unstable.

May have to wait for the next update to see any improvement.
Asus is pretty screwed up in their firmware update.
I am using my older Linksys router at the moment.
This AC88U gave me enough headache.

Try flashing the firmware again. It solved my issues after doing it the second time

Thanks for your advice.
Just shared a joke with you.
My Linksys Router passed away one day after I typed my previous comment.
So, I am back with Ass-us now.

Which firmware you guys using now? Just updated to Merlin 384.7_0 and speed wise significantly increased ... still monitoring.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/asu...0.zip/download

<Update> Just noticed that AiMesh missing from above firmware version released early this month.

Merlin fw is not supporting the AiMesh function. it's already not there a few versions back...
If u want AiMesh, then you'll have to use the official fw

Hi all, my first time posting in this forum. I have an ac88u that keeps disconnecting my wifi for a few minutes, then the connection comes back up. I've tried using a timer plug to power cycle regularly, doesn't help. Recently updated the firmware to the latest Asus version. I thought it solved the problem but just today it happened again. Any advice please?

Try changing to different wifi bands.
