If Asus was a decent company, they should recall all the faulty 88u and produce a new revision that does not break. Atlas Asus can't be bothered.

I mean there is obviously a flaw in the design of the ac88u. Asus did not care about fixing it.

You read the thread ppl here RMA their routers more then once. That isn't normal

my AC88 no problem for many months after RMA once.

I think if there is serious issue, they will just discontinue the product i.e. AC87.
I actually RMAed the AC87 and they gave me AC86 instead since EOL...v happy

Been awhile since I came in here. I’m still on 382_15850... rock stable, so didn’t touch it..

Recent saw got 384_32799... anyone using it? Ok to just flash over the air? Lazy to manually flash and reconfigure... haha

Why my 5ghz only got like a 3 m range now???

Then use 2.4ghz become fcking slow

15 mbps only. Wtf

5ghz gives 300mbps

Using Singtel 500 mbps fiber

Then the 5ghz takes forever to show up again on my WiFi settings page and doesnít connect automatically

This wifi router 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz are known to be problematic since its release in 2016. You are better off to use it as a wired router without its wifi and use separate APs.

If it is under warranty, send for RMA and join those seller at Carousell.
Time to look for new routers.
