But the latest version, 3341 is unable to rolled back to any version??? Correct me if I am wrong, it can be verfied by checking on your router page, at the top of the page where it states your current firmware version.

not directly via the UI page ( for the Latest fw version

you have to use ASUS Rescue mode to rollback

Wa just discovered this thread...i have been having issues too, 2.4ghz band can connect but cant surf while 5ghz still ok. After awhile 5ghz disappear and 2.4ghz ssid broadcast using 5ghz freq. Very strange

Tried upgrading and downgrading of fw, merlin also try

Brought down to avertek today, they also told me latest fw cannot use, so exchange a new one with 2345...but from what my sis observe cos im at work, seems like 2.4g still not v stable

The tech support guy appeared to be senior but not very well informed, he kept telling me not possible to rollback from latest, i told him i did it with rescue tool he still insist cannot o.o

From the website it seems that the latest firmware is not able to downgrade, however I am not very sure whether or not the firmware can be downgraded because I havent tried the rescue mode:p

What isp u on? Do u BT or use heavily?

I'm on latest firmware, other than ONE bout of downtime which required a reset, never experience any issue leh.

Could it be isp or batch specific?

Using m1...just deploy only like that le no chance to BT or any other normal usage

But i dont think isp can cause 2.4g ssid to broadcast at 5ghz...

Currently on 300 mbps plan and Asus N66 router. Speed test shows around 80 to 90 mbps on Wi-Fi. Does upgrading to this ac88u router give me good gains in Wi-Fi speed?

What are your devices ? If your devices are slow, your gains will be minimal.

Those having problems, are u guys restoring settings from a backup?
If so, kindly try setting u from scratch again after reflashing or resetting.
Do not se the backup settings. Also forget the wireless profile on your devices then re add.

Omg... just got a new RT-AC88U from MyRepublic today.. used for about 5-6hrs suddenly the connection went dead, check the router and the internet LED was red, had to reboot it.

Checked the FW and confirmed it was the 3341 that you guys were fearful about. Damn.. The MR guy updated it during the installation.

Gonna just continue using for now, if problem persists will attempt the ASUS Rescue mode and update you guys in a bit.

Don't update to 3341!!

Here's my system log if it helps anyone.
