PCB with mediocre Thermal Pads
Thermal Paste and Heatsink re-applied
The router is placed in my living room in non aircon environment with Merlin's latest stable firmware.
Temperature results were 2-3°C lower on average with/ without Cooling Pad on CPU after replacing stock thermal pad and applying with Arctic MX-4 thermal paste.
No significant Temperature differences on 2.4/5Ghz cores.

1 hour after turning it on
can't believe asus wouldn't just put in a fan
still as unstable on 5GHzWithout the fan was yours unstable? Now with fan stable?
just to share, previously i did a factory reset and everything turned out wonderful. (Edit: for a while)still as unstable on 5GHz
piece of sh*t router
will factory reset tonight to try it out
2.4GHz seems stable so far though
i schedule a hard reboot every day. this includes the router and the ONT device. If 5Ghz still unstable, why don't you schedule a reboot every 2-3 days to see ?
