hehe... sharing info i saw on flashrouters

"DD-WRT transforms a personal-class router with limited functionality into a powerful, multi-use, business-class router. With DD-WRT, a router's enterprise potential can be unlocked at a home user's price.

Benefits range from being able to create Wi-Fi hotspots in your home and increasing your antenna signal transmission strength, to encrypting your entire network by tunneling all traffic through a VPN connection in your router. "

Hi,

actually no problem, just that I expect this model to have better range than my old Asus N66. But both give abt the same wifi range.

I think due to both devices also running on the same power (E.I.R.P) control by IDA. There will be no diff lor.. You can move around the house to find a better coverage spot

Good antenna design, pcb layout and shielding, quality low noise power amplifiers all play a part. Plus high end routers come with better cpu to run other tasks like file server, torrent client and vpn.

Make a parabolic reflector yourself, can improve range by a few metres.
