Do people here generally permanently turn on their VPN at all times?

my surfshark vpn expired today.
any best value vpn to recommend?

I can notice the internet speed is slower if connected to surfshark vpn.
eg: youtube video loading are slower.

I'm using proton and i'm quite happy with it.

I haven't found anything good value that beats Surfshark. Right now I'm using Adguard VPN that I got damn cheap from stacksocial. It isn't as good as Surfshark but for that price, I'm willing to use long term. Some locations are like AU and JP can be atrociously slow, and some like SG, NZ and S.Korea can be fast and stable

i'm also using Surfshark and in terms of speed, you have to factor in the location of those Servers...
