Can IPTV use homeplug?

I'm not sure if my home will even subscribe to an iptv service, but I guess sooner or later it will happen. Wondering if IPTV can use homeplug or wireless, if not I'm pretty much screwed.

Background story:
I installed the TP in my room on the 2nd floor (landed). Originally wanted to put it at first floor living room area beside the TV, but the cable enters the house from the back of the living room. My mother didn't want unsightly trunking all over. Back of living room on 1st floor = right side of my room on 2nd floor. So only had to drill a small hole from my room to the outside of the house, and now I have a TP 20cm away from my PC.

You can refer to http://www.ida.gov.sg/Infrastructure...731133157.aspx

Under Home Networking Options > Powerline Networking

Yes you CAN. But DON'T go for it. Problem with powerline is easy to get affected. The so called EMI will interfere with the signal and it may affect your IP TV badly.

So the best option is still the wiring.
