Resale HDB networking question

Hi Everyone,

I am getting my resale in october however i would like to confirm something myself if possible before i let my ID know what to do

Understand that flat completed in 2013 are all lay with cat6 cables already but the flat i am getting is completed in 2012 hence im not sure if it is lay with cat6 cable.

Would like to know if there is a way to check myself that the house has been installed with cat 6 before telling my ID that i want to re wire the whole house.

Why don't you check with the existing owner on the data & telephone points matters on the said flat.

Not all flats are built in the same manner as there may have data points or not but would mostly have telephone points in all bedrooms.

Hence there is possibility you may need to DIY to have data points in bedrooms if the existing owner have not done so.

For example in my case, BTO HDB flat said to have people moved in in 2013 as already some sold their flats recently.
I bought this flat 2 years ago and there is 1 data point in the living room only.
The ISP contractor then told me about telephone points are Cat-6 (refer to COPIF 2013) and hence i did conversion in my bedroom, although i did data points in all bedroom but renovation contractor foul up the wiring.
