Sineoji 600mbps with Pass Through

Singapore – 14 January 2014 – Sineoji Asia Pte Ltd, networking solution provider to home users and small-medium enterprises, today announced to ship Mini Gigabit HomePlug AV2 model which complements the existing range of Gigabit 600Mbps HomePlug AV2 and 500Mbps HomePlug AV. Sineoji PL600EPG runs on HomePlug AV2 standard to deliver up to 600Mbps powerline speed to electrical outlets.
Sineoji, pronounced as “Synergy”, will ship the new Mini Gigabit 600Mbps HomePlug AV2 (PL600EPG) model to reach retail outlets before the end of January 2014. The new HomePlug AV2 is designed with an additional feature of a noise-filtered AC pass through.
An integrated AC Pass Through allows for additional flexibility of connecting a power strip to the HomePlug, hence enabling more power outlets to be deployed. Similar to the existing range of Sineoji HomePlugs, PL600EPG is designed to be compact in size for a practical fit for power outlets.
HomePlugs turn electrical outlets to Ethernet-ready points, delivering throughput without the need for cabling or new wires. They work in pairs, with one connected to the broadband router, and another connected to an Ethernet device to create a wall-to-wall personal network. The mini-sized Gigabit 600Mbps HomePlug AV2 can be connected in seconds without any configuration or technical set-up. With the security “push button”, an encryption key will be automatically generated to prevent the network from being accessed by unauthorized users.
Sineoji 600Mbps Mini Gigabit HomePlug AV2 with Pass Through is interoperable with HomePlug AV2 and HomePlug AV models.
Key benefits:

  • Superior 600Mbps HomePlug on Advanced HomePlug AV2.
  • Access, surf, stream, download and connect to anyone across any media.
  • Noise-filtered AC Pass Through
  • Universal compatibility with HomePlug AV2, AV and Green PHY.
  • Energy saving and eco-friendly.
  • No configuration needed, Plug and Play.

I'm currently using ethernet to my singtel pace router.. But I'm going to shift my desktop PC into my room while the router remains at living room.. Should I go for homeplug or wifi adapter?

Distance between them will be about 10 metres and there's no Wall in between other than my bedroom door if I close it
depends on yr house wiring... best is go homeplug... else wireless AC standard.. means change to AC router and expensive AC adapter

Seems that the PL600EPG is still not available yet, even though the press release says it will reach the retailers before the end of Jan 2014. I couldn't find this at Challenger Funan, and the staff there have not heard of it. Even the printed materials showing the comparison of features of the various models do not show it.

I think the TP-Link AV600 home plugs are based on the Homeplug AV standard rather than the Homeplug AV2 standard. There is no mention of AV2 in their brochure/technical specs, unlike the Sineoji PL600 or the Aztech EP119.

Now this is something to look forward to. MIMO AV2 instead of the current SISO AV2.

hmm.. awaiting reviews for this Sineoji with pass-thru.

My current Aztech 500Mbps ones is limited to about 120Mbps of my 200Mbps fibre connection.
