Using second Dlink 868L as dedicated VPN router?

Hi,
here is the setup I'm trying:
ONT--(WANport)DLinkMain(LANport)---(WANport)DlinkVPN--PC

PC can browse internet successfully. DHCP enabled on both routers with different subnets.
However, when I change the Internet Connection Type on DlinkVPN to "PPTP" and input all the details of the PPTP connection, the globe LED on Dlink VPN turns steady orange, and I lose connectivity on the PC.
Appreciate any pointers whether:
1) this setup is doable?
2) Should I enable or disable NAT on the DLinkVPN?
3) What else could be wrong, and how do I troubleshoot? Nothing in the logs.

It is easier to run pptp from your pc.

make your 2 routers to work in one subnet, by disabling dhcp on the 2nd router, connect lan of 1st router to lan of 2nd router, and change the ip address of router 2 to 192.168.0.2

I need the second router as a wifi point through which devices that cannot/will not use client (like TV) can access VPN.

why tv needs vpn? seafood channel?

if you have special requirements for online video streamings, it is easier to play on android tv box that allows you to install vpn client.

If you are planning to run a vpn client on that router, i will say don't bother. That processor isn't fast enough for vpn, it will be very slow.
