thinking to sign up WC because I bought Asus router until now cannot use due to Singtel don't allow to use own router. All other solutions like double NAT also not sure how to set up and not using the router natively.

I am not an expert in home networking in reality.

Not so sure which Asus router you have bought but you can use your own router with SingTel.

1) ONT users: set up SingTel VLAN

2) ONR users: set up as AP to avoid double NAT.

But double NAT is also not a big problem for usual use case.

3) For ONR users, it is also possible to request SingTel to bridge the ONR, then you can use your own router just like the other ISP, no VLAN needed.

In the form/livechat remind them that you want which mode, ONT or ONR so that when they come over to deliver, is already set, can save time.

I wish to retain router mode and avoid double NAT.

ONR by default. ask them to set ONT beforehand

Best I got was 50MBps which is my 500mbps plan

That's not bad, i only get that kind of speeds when downloading from Steam.

Main issue with Whizcomms will be bad international routing courtesy of SingTel.

Other than that, throttling (also courtesy of SingTel) may well depend on the location of the peers.
