the mini wifi router only has a max speed of 100mbps due to its megabit ethernet ports.

Which makes the AC only useful for fast WLAN transfers.

can this router act as repeater?
Hi,

Yup, the mini can be used as a repreater. But it will only repeat signals at 2.4Ghz despite it being marketed as "dual-band". Many have tried to get the mini to repeat at 5Ghz (including flashing the firmware) but to no avail. It's pretty ok for a 2.4Ghz repeater though.

I'm wondering if it's possible to use the mini as a wifi dongle for my computer ...

Cheers

Can help me connect xiaomi mini router to fiber optic singtel modem?
There are Singtel Internet Plans which optic fibre are tied to the mac address to the 2wire router which they provide, which means you can't use any other routers from the shelf to replace it. The only solution is to switch ISP, starhub or singtel fibre unlimited plans.

you can clone the mac addresses, and it works right away.

Strangely. It doesn't work for my Singtel Pace Router. Anyway, i jump to Starhub and it works perfectly, just plug and play.
