Anybody using Xiaomi router with Whizcomms ONT? I don't need the new AX3600.
Just signed up for WC and looking around (since they are only installing mid May).

It should show up under your Network. If it doesn't, then download the Mi Router app and run it on your PC. Then you should see the hard disk appears in your File Explorer.

Could you do me a favour? After you connect the hard disk to the router and can access it from your PC, could you copy 1 x file of about 1GB from your PC, via Gigabit port to your harddisk on your router?

I am using Mi Router 1TB now. I have tested and the transfer speed from my PC to the harddisk connected to my router is about 25MB/s.

The bottleneck should be the HDD. Try connecting a SSD to the router. It should be faster.

From the test I done, I don't think so. The bottleneck should be the USB port. I just hope to get people here with different version of Mi Router to test and share your results.

I am using the old Mi Router 1TB.

Anybody here using this also?

According to this website :

https://en.techreviewer.de/xiaomi-r3p-test/

This is with USB 3.0 Enabled.

The Mi Router R3P with USB 3.0 Enabled, over Gigabit connection can hit >80MB/s transfer speed. I would consider that to be very decent.

Just found out that the USB port on my router is only USB 2.0.

Based on :

https://superuser.com/questions/3172...a-usb2-0-drive

Write speed for USB 2.0 is about 25-30MB/s. Which is about what I gotten. Guess I need to change my router if I want a faster transfer speed.
