Myth 1 : AX router is expensive

Price of AX router lazada : $139.00 - $155.00
Price of AC router lazada : $99.00 - $115.00

In this thread post #9 TP-Link Archer AX1500, starts at only $165.00
Only US$70 from Walmart

EXPENSIVE ???...............Hmmmmmm..............

Myth 2 : not proven
The main focus of AX is technology employed OFDMA
it is widely by mobile telecommunication equipment long before bringing it to wifi routers.

Myth 3 : no AX compatible client
There are already available AX client for laptop/desktop
Do a google search and you can find it easily

My contention is, there is a vendor already bring down the price to a affordable level for consumer to embrace this new technology. Why wait and spend money on outdated stuff ?

Enough said !!!
There are even cheaper wifi 6 routers like hwawei ax3 ard 50 sgd

Probably be more coming in the future .

No need invest in wifi6 asap since 2Gbp and wifi6 devices also not very affordable/mainstream yet.
Dun think we can tap into its full potential any time soon.

FYI Wifi 7 already announced
MingQing likes this.

Yeah am extremely satisfied with my R3P too. just checked that i purchased at $99 exactly 3 years ago, running 24/7 since then. Really good price for a AC2600, of which i sold both my Asus AC66U and also another free bundled asus router from m1. Cheaper better coverage faster

On the other hand, my Mi TV 2 is a missed though

Spoiler!

I got a Xiaomi Mi TV2 55". What do you mean by "Mi TV 2 is a missed though'?

I would have gotten the Mi Router AX3600 but it doesn't have USB 3.0 port.

Only the boxy design Mi Router model range got USB port.

Well NAS function is not a must for most average home users.

Think ax3600 most attractive features are its latest cpu 4-core A53 and Alot antenna for xiaomi devices.

Wifi 6 too gimmicky most current phones that claims wifi6 Support doesn't see much boost in speed at all.

Only computer or laptop with latest wifi6 chipset benefit from it.

Its got excellent wifi range/performance for its price range though.

Maybe i get a second hand unit to try in future .

Eyeing on cheaper huawei ax 3 wiif6 router but need more reviews

my 2 yrs old mitv2 49" suddenly had a loud pop sound n powered off. Unable to power on & no light signal as well (usually auto on with lights at the bottom sensor when plugged into power)

quite a pity as this TV was of very very low usage (on once a wk/fortnight). most probably some capacitor burnt/burst but i have no expertise in trying diy repair

now still lying next to my monitor dont know what to do with it

Heat dissipation is bad due to the sleek and slim design

Heat is the biggest enemy of the wifi chipset.

I strongly urge you to consider thrice !!

Sound like some capacitor got blown. If you know how to see blown capacitor, got soldering iron, maybe can open up and find. Or if you lazy, just change the whole PCB with the blown capacitor.

Or you can try this guy :

I found his contact from another thread. Got very good review. Perhaps you can WhatsApp this person to find out the rates etc.

Because for TV, the panel is the most expensive. As long as the panel is not spoilt, usually it is very cheap to repair if you were to changed spoilt component.

Shopee can deduct more using credit card during certain days and use of coupons and coins. ard ~135 ?

You can also direct ship from taobao to singapore, some shops charge you like 38 rmb only. ~130sgd only.
.But now all running low/out of stocks cause wifi6 hype

Even wifi6 hwawei ax3 affected. Dirt cheap 329rmb all sold out raise price to 399rmb.

I dun open router 24-7 like most ppl do I seen reviews of both router should perform the same in my small hdb flat.

I dun need Alot features of ax3600 nor 256 devices . Saving that 50 bucks to do other stuff lol.

I always go for best value performance not saying ax3600 is bad.

Huawei AX3 Pro is better in terms of CPU and more RF amplifiers than AX3.

More importantly Huawei AX3 has a lousier heat sink compared to AX3 Pro, making it potentially unstable for long time use based on a few Chinese YouTube review. Avoid it. You can consider AX3 Pro though.

Mi AX1800 (as well as Redmi 3) has better thermal than AX3 Pro but performance wise AX3 Pro is better.

Mi AX3600 will of course beat AX3 Pro in terms of performance and thermal. But then the cost is much higher.

In the end, I ordered the AX3 Pro from Taobao (RMB329).

But for Xiaomi lovers (eg: you have Mi 10), get AX3600 or AX1800 or Redmi 3.
