how did you do the test? what are the configurations? distance, equipments...etc
I've a Synology NAS at home. DualBand N is via Asus N56U and the AC is via the Xiaomi.

Mi Router <--- Main Router ----> N56U

connected via a Cat 6 cable
Using my mac's terminal with the rsync command, to test transferring a 300mb file.
(i don't have the screenshot for this anymore)

As for internet...
I've 100mbps singtel fibre

AC Xiaomi 5ghz

DualN Asus N56U 5ghz

i am tempted to get the mini router and use it as a wireless-ac AP for my laptop.

anyone know if it is possible to use the usb port for AP?

theoretically that usb 2.0 port should be faster than the 10/100 WAN port.

correct, your max speed will only be 100mbps since WAN and LAN ports are 10/100 only.

ok. received my router from taobao. its not really mini. just slim. and yes, disappointed tat its 10/100 for both WAN/LAN. so putting an AC wireless makes the product looks plain dumb and stoopid just like how redmi is designed to be only 1GB RAM.

overall, its cheap for an access point for my IP cameras.
