[GPGT] MicroSIM Cutter From DX

Ordered my MicroSIM cutter from Deal Extreme for USD$20.00, but now the price has dropped to USD$17.43. In case you are unfamiler with Deal Extreme, the price stated includes free shipping. Placed my order on the 11th July 2010 and got it delivered to me on the 22nd July 2010. Took about 11 days before it reaches my house. I think it is because of supplier's stock issue as when I check the status, it was stuck at
Waiting For Supplier" for a few days.

Using the MicroSIM cutter is pretty straight forward, just place your SIM card into the slot and ensure that the slanted edge matches and press the cutter handle down real hard!

i was very anxious after getting my iPad to get the sim card into this baby

i saw a picture posted and just cut by trial and error bit by bit without drawing lines, carefully cutting right to the edges of the metal part and just kept measuring that it's 15x12 cm

it works.... and not too difficult actually

the cutting is really easy no brainer with guide, though.
try look for the thread with pdf guide, got 1:1 sim/micro sim printed in A4 paper.
save ur $ unless u wanna earn pocket $ by providing cutting service, as for the sim socket, i feel no keed also, cos once i put in to my ipad, i dun feel like using that sim card anywhere else, my crave for iphone4 also subsided.

Although I have cut many SIM card manually, i prefer an exact and fast way. Does this cutter provide precise cut without further smoothening needed?

I also bought this. The microsim size it cut is slightly large. I need to file abit or else it cannot fit my iPad or microsim converter

I have ordered mine too. Now waiting for the delivery. I am not paying the telco an obscene amount of money for the microsim. Feels like the iphone 4 bumper Apple is trying to sell at USD$30.

I got a few SIMs to cut that is why I bought it. For my iPad that I got from US, I cut it using scissors, the one in the pic is I cutting it for my bro iPad

So I think it is more efficient in the long run to get one.

I ordered mine from via Holland which took almost 4 weeks to arrive Singapore. I think your 2 weeks delivery lead time is very resonable.

In the end, i find this equipment is much more easier to cut than using the conventional method by using a pair of scissors.
