Buying an iPad Pro to read manga is an overkill to be honest.
Strongly agree, even my mini 4 is good enough for that.

that's the original plan getting iPad mini problem is the cheapest right now is more expensive than iPad 9" (which I dislike also coz of screen)... 3 year old+ model too
My original reader was actually iPad mini 2 and last was iPad Pro 12" (also too big)
Just input passcode.
Input pass code is not difficult, this I agree. I just don't want to pay for something that makes it more inconvenient for me.
Moreover, I feel the current iPad Pro suits my needs well enough with a massive 512GB of storage. I used to lug my iPad Air 2 whenever I travel for entertainment and also to process pictures taken on my camera. All these, and I got a nice 24% discount from the original price, i.e. 1126 vs 1488 for the WIFI only version.
If it is just about the screen, then there are other tablets out there that have great screen. I feel you are wasting your money to get the iPad Pros to use mainly as a reader. You won't benefit from the processing power, and the fast refresh rate. I've used an iPad Air and Air 2 before. Between the 2, the former does not have a laminated screen, but I don't think it is a problem.
I agree about the laminated screen. There are still ipad pro 9.7 rfb available though. Its A9X chip..... dont know will be too slow anot in today’s context.
Yea tempted to hoot the 128gb wifi version for very light usage ie surf net, youtube and music streaming via airplay.... and with apple care+ for a 2016 model lol

If I am not wrong... can have multiple face IDs.
2 year old model not advisable ba. Its going to be obsolete faster than you think. Price wise 9.7 at local stores aren’t that cheap either
May be can get an Apple refurbished set. They are as good as new and comes with a full year warranty.
I'm sending my 3-mth old 10.5" Pro to Apple this saturday afternoon for this.

Guess it's quite common for the 10.5" screen.
I will keep a lookout for this. Thanks for the heads up.
By the way, Apple did a 1-1 replacement for my 10.5" Pro.
