Hi Beckz,

You don't need a receipt for future warranty claim if the unit was initially purchased locally. Meaning, the first owner purchased from any Apple Authorised Reseller / Apple Online Store in Singapore.

Apple do have a Global Service Exchange (GSX) account for our Local Apple Authorised Service Provider to check the warranty validity, Activation Policy as well as checking Place of Country that the unit purchased from.

You need the receipt for warranty claim in Singapore if you purchased it from Oversea's teleco (Example: AT&T, DiGi; etc).

Ultimately, Apple Limited Warranty is recognised worldwide even if the iPad/iPhone is locked in its CDMA's network.

Do note A.Lab/QCD requires you to produce Proof of Purchase for servicing if your unit was purchased overseas.

This rule was implemented on April last year by Apple Singapore's Country Manager.

Cheers.
