Sorry to bring back this old thread.
With iOS 5 releasing today, do we need to revert back these tweaking settings before upgrading to iOS 5?

No need. The multi touch works with ios5 as well

Since it doen not offer multitouch on Ipad Gen1, is the workaround still feasible?

Just install MT gestures theme in Winterboard

For jb iPad2 iOS 4.3.3 and below, just install MT Gestures Theme under Winterboard to enable Multi-touch gestures (4 finger to switch app, close app, or pull up multi-tasking bar).

No need for any other complicated methods.

the method in here is simple and no need to JB, hping that something like that can be used again. Or hopefully Apple wakes up and include MT in the next update
