Help Japanese Relief Efforts With Purchase Of Games

Everyone,

Please note that certain game developers have announced that they will contribute 100% of the proceeds from the sale of their games to the Japanese Red Cross and other cha rities:

Street Fighter IV - 0.99 till 22 mar
Sonic Spinball 0.99 till 20 mar
Sonic the hedgehog 1.99 till 20 mar
Other Sonic titles

Let's give our support. Maybe it will encourage others to do the same

I agree that if u r planning to donate to the relief efforts, there are other more direct ways. This is a generous gesture by Sega etc and at least when deciding to buy the game, u know that part of it is going to a good cause. Also, bear in mind that, in any donation for any charity, a portion always goes towards paying for administrative costs, advertising and collection efforts. At least here, the admin costs shd be less bec the collection is through electronic means

exactly, apple will be overiding 30% from whatever thing we do.

the 70% going back to developer is also pretty unsure, how do you know if they would donate back to the victims?

Best is Apple annouce 100% funds from agreeable developers to Japan redcross.

I trust Apple more than the Japanese...
