Yeap! Was pretty disappointed with the 'upgrades'. Should at least have a A8 or A8X chip like the iPad Air 2.

They should at least fix the colour gamut

Oh well

Meanwhile the iPad Air 2 is a beast with the A8X(and 2GB RAM)

1 billion more transistors than the A8

Ipad mini "upgrade" is a joke, guess they want to focus on ipad air series?

bcoz all along iPad Air sales has been weak..

iPad mini RD has been a good choice for many commuters, not obstructive and the screen is just right if u want to play game.

iPad Air/2 just too big.. only suitable at home/school

Guess the Mini 3 is targeted at consumers upgrading from first gen Mini or those who hold off buying Mini 2. But agree overall that buying Mini 3 is harder to justify now.

air 2 is a better choice. Tempted but saving monies for retina MBA.

Apart from the touch id, there's completely no other upgrade. Even the weight and thickness remain the same, sian....

Why does apple store say pending regulatory approval? I thought it was supposed to be opened for pre-booking today?

Their product segmentation is more distinct this year. If u want a big iphone you get the iPhone 6. If you want a full hd phone with ois you get the iPhone 6 plus. If u want a compact tablet you get the ipad mini. If you want a tablet with great performance and big display you get the ipad air 2. However between ipad mini 2 and 3, there ain't much difference.

How much can I get for my 16GB iPad Mini 2 now? Still have one year warranty due to AppleCare+. I think I want to change to the iPad Air 2 cause I find the screen too small.

I agree, only fingerprint sensor, gold colour n cheaper (for 32/64gb). it's really more like 2S, not 3!!

I have a mini, but at this new release, i think the mini 2 offers more better for value.
