iPad next shipment in 3-4 weeks..we are all got screw!

I just called the shop at Novena. They told me the next shipment will come in 3-4 weeks.

Today, each outlet only allocated 90 units to sell! this is unbelievable...how can 90 units per shop is enough after we have waited for 3 months!!!

As I have predicted, Apple will not be able to fulfil their iPad demand. They screw up themselves big time and piss off a lot of unhappy customers.... more than those people who have bought the today.

You call this launch??? why only 2 hours!!????

This is pre-sale not launch!

Just watch... same story will repeat again next Friday when iPhone 4 launch here.

It is a real shame if apple calls this a "Launch"... just lasted for two hours.

Why making the buying the Apple product a "pressure" and not PLEASURE experience????

So finally my prediction has come true... iPad did not launch today... it was just a pre-sale.

Arrggghh. My Eyes Hurts!!!! Red and Big Fonts...
Do you think we all visually impaired?

No need to upset. We all know from the 'strange' sign:
1) Apple Online store didn't take any orders
2) No big bang on the launch

This is just a formality launch...

ya lor. screw all the stupid apple fanboys.

Seriously, what shortage? I was in US when the 3G ipad was launched. There are so many 3G ipads EVERYWHERE, even at bestbuy. You could just walk into any shop and grab one.

Apple just want to screw those desperate fanboys and create some hype.

I looked and played with the 3G ipad in US but did not get a single one. Actually I should have gotten a few and sell it to desperate fanboys in May.

Dick Smith, JB HiFi and Apple Stores, no one is rushing, no one is buying.

I got my wifi / 3G 16gig iPad at 8pm earlier... It's not that bad since I was able to get one. I did have to travel to 2 apple stores and wait in line for 1 hr though...... Ion had no more stock for walk in customers (only pre-orders) so I went to Funan instead to buy it. They had plenty of stock for the 16gig 3G version!

LG Display has announced that it can't make the LED displays used in Apple's iPad fast enough to meet the demand.

By Eric Zeman
InformationWeek
July 23, 2010 09:02 AM

LG Display's CEO, Kwon Young-soo has indicated that while demand for its LCD TV screens is somewhat soft, it is having trouble with the smaller LEDs for the iPad.

"Demand (from Apple) keeps growing and we can't meet it all," he said. "Apple may have to delay launches of the iPad for some countries due to tight component supplies and strong demand. We are considering increasing production lines for iPad products, but overall supply is likely to remain tight until early next year."

The iPad has a 9.7-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen multitouch display with IPS (in-plane switching) technology. It has 1024-by-768-pixel resolution, at 132 pixels per inch (ppi).

Apple has sold 3.47 million iPads since the device first launched in the U.S. in April. Apple has slowly been making the iPad available in more countries around the world, most recently in Hong Kong, Singapore, and New Zealand. Demand in Hong Kong has been high.

The iPad has been only available via gray market channels in Hong Kong so far. Independent vendors, such as Kurt Lo, have been importing them from the U.S. and other countries through friends and then re-selling them at a mark-up.

Now that it is officially available in Hong Kong, vendors like Lo will purchase them legitimately and then sell them via gray market channels to mainland China, where the iPad is not yet available. "Crazy — the iPad is crazy," Lo said. “Makes me very crazy and very busy today.”

With today's launches, the iPad is now available in a total of 19 countries.
