Anyone know any local stores carrying it on release day? I prefer to pickup as I don't have anyone to accept delivery.

The Reddit user also took the opportunity to run some Geekbench testing on the 2020 iPad Pro. Hereís how it scored:

Single-Core: 1114 (Versus 1111 for 2018 iPad Pro)
Multi-Core: 4654 (Versus 4604 for 2018 iPad Pro)
9894 Metal Score (Versus 9146 for 2018 iPad Pro)

Yup not much difference except for the metal core
7 cores on A12X vs 8 cores A12Z

The scores are to be expected. The key difference between the old A12X and this A12Z is the extra 1 graphic core. Which explains the bump in the metal score. The marginally higher CPU core is likely a small bump in clockspeed.

Initially thought I should hold out for the mini led ipad. But seems like they only have it for the 12.9 inch model. I prefer the 11 inch.
May be good for you to go down to the store to check out the difference in size. Personally, I feel with this new iPad design, the difference in the iPad dimension is not as bad as the first gen iPad Pro. This is the first time I can accept the 12.9 inch version.

Difference isn't significant enough for existing iPad Pro owners to upgrade.

so it does make sense for apple to introduce a whole new gen ipad pro at the end of the year?

Anyone know where I can try out the new ipad pro? Been searching a few places but they say they are not even sure if they will get the stock on 25th.

Anyhow it will come. A14X will be a monstrous processor in 5nm. Donít rule out a redesign 😉
