Like the article said, maybe Apple wants to come out with a line of different iPad sizes, similar to their MBP 13", 15", 17" line.

Doesn't make much sense to me though. Any smaller and they might as well sell it as an ipod touch.

It's already small for a pad. Any smaller will not buy.

there should be only 2 sizes - 1) the biggest that your pocket can handle comfortably which is the iPhone/iPod Touch and 2) the size of your typical bag which is the existing iPad (can be increased slightly to A4 size but would then be too heavy).

Any size in between is redundant because u can't put in your pocket and u would be wasting space in your bag!

All I would llike for a 2nd gen iPad is to retain same size but half the weight. And double the battery life haha. I think I will wait long long...

I doubt Apple will come up with an iPAD with a smaller screen size. This will mean there will be a need to come up with apps modified for yet another screen size. A bit unruly leh...

on second though, the 7" size may be a good "Ladies' iPad" since it would be a perfect size for a ladies handbag!

guys usually carry larger bags and most would prefer a bigger screen and also dun mind the heavier weight as much

I would actually welcome a 7" iPad. I love the current one but find it still a bit too heavy for long term usage and it still occupies a bit of space in my bag.
