New iPad rumours

As taken from ilounge:

"2. New iPad. A seven-inch-screened version of the iPad is substantially finished and will be ready for announcement either later this year or early in 2011. Apple has been prototyping devices with screens of this size for a long time—quite possibly predating the original iPhone."

What do u guys think? I love the current size and I don't think I would like anything less. Will be a bummer if the smaller one comes with a camera.

Agree that the current size is what I like. Smaller screen means losing more colour and its brilliance. HAHA! For me, I don't need a camera although the people say that if the iPad comes with a camera, it is worth buying.

I treat it as my ebook reader and portable media device hehe.

the curent iPad size just nice. all they need to do is to reduce the weight, add in retina display, more RAM.

I'm satisfied with the current size of iPad. Neither is it too big nor small. A smaller size iPad will only make the differences between an iPad and iPhone/iPod touch lesser.

Indeed, retina display and ram are at the top of my wish list for iPad v2.

I think that if Apple does release a smaller screen, it would be targeted more towards the e-book market.

i saw a video on youtube showing the dismantle process of ipad. inside it, there are still spaces left empty. i wish apple can fully utilise the space and include a bigger capacity battery to make it last like forever hahaha

apple seems to be trying very hard to flood the market with their new products to gain even more market share, kinda enticing old apple product owners to upgrade, down to the lowest end model, the ipod shuffle

the current size is just right. I agree with all of u on that :D

Just need a camera for chats.....

Krauser Nisei 05-08-2010 11:17 PM

abit heavy for long usage though..esp reading ebook..

NightFalcon8 05-08-2010 11:25 PM

The current size is just right for me. I don't need I require the camera features as the iPhone can take care of that. I wouldn't want to look like a fool carrying a 9.7" device and trying to take some snapshots. If there's camera features, merely for videoconferencing. No complaints about the weight as my load has very much lighten with this compared to the MBP 15".

Well, the shrinkage has begun. soon it will shrink down to the size of ipod touch.
Viola~ Sell the ipod touch for the price of Ipad~ :s13:

the ipad is not able replacing iphone.. its does not need a front camera. if the screen reduce to 7", its will loss it purpose. Only wish i can accept removal media, more ram and in future, screen supporting 1080p.

7" is neither here nor there.... rather stick with 10".

might as well stick to iphone

ekin101 06-08-2010 11:10 AM

This doesn't look like apple style.. Don't think apply would come out with a 7" IPAD. Kind of meaningless..

Just a small wish. If only its lighter a bit, 500gram will be perfect.

Right now the LCD is 130gram, the glass is 190gram, 2 batteries are 150gram. Still have a lot of room for Apple to lighter the iPad maybe start first with the LCD and the glass.
