New iPad User - Need help please

Alright I don't currently have a sim card for my Ipad yet, so I tried connecting to wifi but the Internet won't load. So do I need a sim card for the device to be useful?

I have successfully connected to my wifi but I can't seem to use my Internet. The safari simply won't load.

Dont think a sim card is required for it to work, since we can off cellular data.
Perhaps u can try to "forget" the network and add again.

this question might sound a little silly, but are you able to connect to the internet tru the same network on another device? such as laptop, smartphones?

yes wifi will work without a sim.

first, is ur ipad able to connect to other wifi networks like wireless@sg.

second, does ur router has mac address filtering that is denying the connection?

Confirm no need. I got my sim only 3 days later but I was able to get online at home by logging onto my wireless network. Never tried Wireless@sg though.

You said you logged onto your wifi but Safari doesn't work. Have you tried other apps that require internet connection like perhaps Facebook or even App Store?

Ipad 2 wifi till date, stil kind of eccentric. At times it shows wifi connection....but actually it is not. Few ways 2 rectify it... Reboot(sometimes 2-3 times), on/off wifi for a reconnection, renew the lease under setting wifi.... It happens to mine.....wouldnt say is uncommon...
