If u buy iPad to jailbreak, why not just get a netbook? Cheaper and u still get all the functions without jailbreaking it.

if jailbreaking gives you more functions, apps, and convenience, why not?

troublesome? spiritjb is a one-click process.

you're saying as if jailbreaking takes away the ipad's functionality altogether and replaces it with netbook functions.

you can't compare netbook versus iPad, they are different cat altogether.

the glaring difference for one would be for one, iPad take only 3 secs to get to main home screen(including the slide to unlock).

the list for comparisons will not end since u are comparing with full OS instead against another mobile OS.

End of the day for my take is, if my iphone and iPad can't be jailbroken i wouldnt have bought them.

JB FTW. jailbreaking + configuration is not that tedious especially i see from your siggie you seemed like a computer engineering student. It should be as easy as installing MS office on your computer.

Does anyone jailbreak with the aim of free apps? And if such. How do you get them?

I have never thought jailbreaking was worth it, but I just did it. It takes literally seconds to jailbreak, and then you can start to get a better experience out of the iPad.

I don't like to alter Apple's interface choices, so I don't change any of that. I jailbreak for features such as higher quality YouTube videos over 3G for example. Fullforce for Facebook app works very nicely as well. Backgrounder is icing on the cake.

I don't see it as making it work like a netbook. It's just a better iPad.

well ... how many ppl are like u ??? most are out there to get "free" apps for their devices. not just apple products, but also PSP and etc.

if lets say today ipad gives u flash support, iOS4(multitasking), no more 3G restriction and USB support for other devices other than camera and SD cards, will u still jailbreak it ?
