I waiting for otterbox to come out with the iPad Defender series. I'm using their case for all my portable electronics as I had a great experience with their case on my iPhone in the snow. After that incident, I'm very assured of their case protection.

I've the vaja casing for iPhone. I have 3 casings in all. 2 leather and one the flip one (ex) and i must say it's really built to high standard.

Really very tempting to get it but the price. Wow.

The original Ipad case from Apple gets the vote from me.

Bought a TPU case. Yes all edges are covered, but quite filmsy to carry it around. Always afraid of dropping or cracking the protective glass.

Bought an after-market leather case. Fits in nicely, good protection. but as it's just a slot in, always afraid of ipad slipping out. Also, only cover edges and sides not protected.

The moment I got my original ipad case, it was like... sibeh cool man! All corner and edges are covered, and not afraid of ipad slipping out as it is being "wrapped" into the case.

Even with the case, it still look slim and not bulky like the leather case. the stand is also super useful, especially for playing certain games and surfing the net.
