xvid on iPad

Just wanted to share with everyone.

Apple has approved an app that allows users to play and import avi files directly into their ipads via itunes. no conversion needed.

it only plays xvid avi files....but i guess its better than nothing.

currently its free and available via appstore.

Any solution for MKV, M2TS clips? All of my 1080p clips are using these extensions.

yup. no doubt it plays the video, but not all.. probably coz some are encoded with AC3 which is not supported at the moment.

Other than that, its a good app without having to jailbreak

Although the formats it's supporting is extremely limited at the moment, CinexPlayer seems to work better than OPlayer.

Loaded the same video on both players. CinexPlayer plays it smoothly while OPlayer has minimal lags.
