Yellowish tint on the new IPad

There is a yellowish tint. Compared the new IPad with iPad 2, the tint is quite obvious. It is like comparing warm light with cool daylight.

Anyone got the same problem?

I think the tint fades. Mine had a slight yellow tint when i first got it on Friday. It's gone now.

Ahhhh, thanks for the replies. Sounds like it is not a permanent thing. Keeping my fingers crossed

Mine too. I hate that bluish hue. Makes my photos look so cold compared to my iPad 2. Is it really non-permanent?

Bring to any apple retail stores to compare, or compare to your iPhones etc..

There's not much point in conparing actually.. If it doesn't bother you now, why let it bother you after you compare? There are numerous sources saying that yellowish screen actually produces more accurate color.. Unless your screen shows everything yellow and out of norm color, it shouldn't be a problem..

I would be more worried if the colour is "correct" rather than "looks yellowish"...

All my monitors are hardware calibrated and I can assure you that "correct" colours tend to look slightly more yellowish then most people are used to. For some reason non-calibrated displays I have seen usually tend towards blue.

The new ipad is capable of displaying almost all of sRGB space, and is supposed to be factory - calibrated too. :

Unless it looks very yellow (look at a greyscale ramp) or looks different from other iPad's I wont worry about it.

my yellowish tint seems to lighten already, planning to monitor another week more, went down to the shop to inform them on this matter and they tell me that it is normal.
