Most likely the price will be like this iPhone 12 (allow margin error of +/- $10)

iPhone 12
4G $55: $679/749/899
Mobile+ $65: $579/649/799

iPhone 12 Pro
4G $55: $989/$1149/$1459
Mobile+ $65: $899/$1059/$1359

I have a question hopefully u guys can help. Moderators if u think its the wrong thread for my question can delete pls. thanks.

Question:
I am currently on the $75 plan (40GB and weekend free data) for 2years. I m planning to get iphone 12 pro max on 13 Nov. Because i am hub member, so i can renew after 1 year with $300 penalty but can offset with $200 voucher.
So the question i have is, do starhub allow me to continue w this currently $75 plan?
or will they ask me switch to $95 plan? or can i downgrade to $65 plan?

Thanks

only can downgrade after 24 months. In your case, unlikely cause you will utilitse the 13 months upgrade for $300.

So you can only choose same or higher price plan.

The "old" 4G $75 is still available, but it is $80 now. (without 5G)

I guess you are wrong... last year I’ve recontracted using hubclub discounts. I’ve downgraded my plan from $105 to $75. I’m not sure in the recent months is there any changes in terms and conditions.

after calculation, seems like iP12 pro vs pro max not much diff in pricing.

So either get iPhone 12 or 12 pro max.

Just did a simulation on the SH store with my current $75 subscription which just hit 13months. I added iPhone 11 Pro to cart and selected the $65 mobile+ plan.

Towards the end of the check out process you can check the box/ and apply $200 recontract waiver before clicking to then next page; your delivery/click&collect options followed by review/pay.

Thank everyone for all your advice and even trying out .... really appreciate!

I main think i like about my current $75 plan is the free weekend data.

Just wondering the $65+ plan has weekend free as well?

Previously unlimited weekend data can be subscribed at $6/mth. Not sure if they still have that

Ditto what qwerty_hippo said. The weekend data-free not available for new 4g/5g plans.

ya lor, probably not earning margins, so they increased pricing to $80 + removed weekend data.

tbh, I think most ppl weekend stay home n used wifi

IIRC, have S$6 add-on. but if you calculate total price for 2 years including upfront phone cost, might be wiser to get $95 plans with 60gb, 5G and lower upfront cost.

The upfront is about $250 cheaper right? Unless really need more than 30gb per month otherwise $95 is really ex

I am happy with the 30gb data package. Don't foresee myself exceeding my monthly data. Weekday usage will be light given the fact most of us are working - don't think we be consuming much data especially during working hours.

As for the weekend, I totally on your side - if I am at home I will be switching to my wifi connection - if I am out it will just be browsing and on social media apps. Unless you're downloading/updating apps or streaming YouTube video on 1080p.. then I see a chance of exceeding the 30gb cap for the base subscription.

On a separate note. Singtel Prestige customer will have exclusive access to purchase the iPhone online. I am quite surprised Starhub is not offering this to the Platinum club members.
