Side track a little, thatís means if next all the telco only uses esim, wonít all the physical phone seem as obsolete and cannot be use anymore?

Bro, you use before? If only you work in Telco and can tell us when this is exactly happening lol!

Telcos given you the credit card size of QR code card for you to scan and keep it for future use purpose.

The QR code can capture n put it on iCloud photo.

Once if your phone is missing right.
The number still remain on the phone.
But the phone permanently never switch on also canít detect at all.

Missing the phone already, try to get the QR code for rescan into your new phone, for few step to setup then can work already.

I found that delete profile and add eSim to new phone, its quite easy than use physical sim.

Physical sim card, replace new one have to pay extra cost.
For eSim got the QR code can be use in multiple times.

(Just make sure that eSim can be use in the multi phones only.)

That's is the idea of using esim. When you get a esim you get a qr code. Once you scan into your phone, the info is send to your telco. If you lost your phone, technically you can ask your telco to inactivate it and you can scan the qr code on another phone.

The Gear S3 uses e-SIM. I believe that it will work the same way too.

I would want eSIM, so second physical Sim can use for traveler Sim, can slot in my Malaysia SIM, despite only going JB bi-monthly.

I donít care what other says for now, I believe there must be a reason for Apple/Google and telco going for eSIM, so just adapt first and see.

Esim guide from Taiwan telco, in Chinese though

Moving forward, eSIM will be widely adopted. I believe next year Apple will go all in with eSIM.

Advantages of eSIM is user don’t have to swap out physical SIM card. All they do is to add or delete profile and that’s it.
