iPhone XS Max back screen repair cost

My iPhone had a fall from the table and the back screen has cracked.

Does anybody know what’s the repair cost in Sim Lim?

I also have the Singtel Swop service so depending on how expensive it is I might go for that.

Just go for the SingTel Swop service, as it’ll be a genuine Apple product.

The replacement done at SLS might not be a genuine Apple back glass, and might cause complications in future.

Repairing the Sim Lim would also void the warranty as it’s from a third party. I would assume you still have at least 8 months of warranty since Xs max is the latest flagship model.

Ok going for a Swop. Cost me 260$ but will have 6 months of warranty provided by Singtel.

I suspect Sim Lim price would not have been a lot cheaper.

You should have direct warranty for hardware defects with Apple?

Why is the warranty with SingTel?

This is why I always buy AppleCare+ whenever I buy a new iPhone. I kena twice - my 4s & 6+ just died. 1-to-1 exchange w/o issues.

Depends on individual needed AppleCare before since iPhone 3G. Dropped many times on my previous phones, case and TG always absorbed the impact. Thanks goodness lol

I bought only Singtel Swop for my iPhone 7/+, my first iPhones since iPhone 4. Got it only because I was told we could cancel it anytime. Used it once when the i7 suffered a couple of chips when a Samsung phone dropped on it, twice.

But when it came to iPhone X, the Singtel guy emphasized the importance of getting Swop or AC+, as the back is also glass. He said that should that glass crack, the risk of water damage would be much higher. I ended up getting both.

Yes, AC+ isn't cheap but the 2-year cover gives me peace of mind...

Just to close this thread. Singtel Swop guys replaced by broken phone, and I have a shiny new iPhone XS Max. Now, just need to find a cover so it doesn't break again

You can't beat the 4hr service time, delivered to you for free (well for the Swop fee which was 260 S$). AC+ will probably take days to fix.
