IPhone XS Max battery- 98%

Possible to change new battery if phone still under 1 year warranty?

nope. they change policy this year. you need to pay to change the battery.

if under 1 year and batt health capacity is below 90, they might consider and it needs a lot of convincing and explanation. (case to case basis)

unless of course you have AC+ then its free anytime you like.

My battery level is 88% and still under AC+. When I chat with Apple, they will run online Diagnostic. I was informed that nothing is wrong and if I wanted to change the battery, I would have to pay for it.

Apple will only accept to replace battery when it has drop below 80% from their diagnostics tool or when the battery has bloated or when they initiated a recall like the 2015 macbook pros and iphone replacement program last year

AC+ plus its free. You should check again. any replacement or even 1 -1 with ac+ its all possible...

Unless its limited 1 year like ours then we have to pay.
