Noticed significant pixellation and grainyness when recording video in 4k 60fps on XS MAX in decent lighting conditions (living room LED light), seems worst than iphone 8 plus. Anyone facing this issue?

I would think Apple is currently going to the Sony route. The sensor is obviously more than capable of capturing details and such, but it is just let down by software.

That said, apple portrait mode is still one or the best out there. Tried HW P30 pro, can't come close.

I find the iPhone XS shoots very good videos. Which phone are you comparing to?

If you sharing the video over Whatapp/WeChat/Facebook Messager clearly it will be. Whatapp or other instant messaging service destroys the quality with their compression to save space. Even in Instagram it drops the quality by quite a lot. Else if you extract the footage and put it on Vimeo or YouTube it is ALOT better

I've just recontract today

iPhone X 64gb --- Singtel XO-48 the total cash out was like 380 SGD? with all this discounts lol months before new iPhone 11 comes in Xs Max probably a good option
not really. all the while telco with cis plan discount can easily get at least $300 off the current model of iPhone. not to mention that urs is the lowest model of iPhone x which is a two years old phone.

XS max, have you tried 4k 30fps video in low light conditions? no problem with outdoor, but indoor the artefacts and pixelation just shows up on objects that do not have enough light on them, even without using any zoom.

deathst, i am talking about the raw unedited video straight from the stock camera app.
chlow likes this.

You can try downloading “WhatsApp for Business” for your second number like most of us here.

Yep. Now they have “Whatsapp Business”. You can run 2 whatsapp using 2 number. I am sure others here tried. I downloaded but yet to use...
