AOC LED TV

Just came across the brochure for the 40" AOC LED TV going for $399. Seems like quite a steal but i can't seem to find any reviews about this tv. The biggest joke is how this $399 tv comes with a gift worth... "$399" ahahaha.

anyone has experience with AOC tv?

qoo10 selling this tv at 30 bucks cheaper with self collect option but does not include the android player. But this stupid philips android player retails for below $100 only and has pathetic specs(dual core, 1gb ram). $399 for this android player? Who believe?

hahahah yeah.. i LOL-ed when i saw the $399 value of the philips box. I realised qoo10 only comes with 1year warranty at $369 but at the IT show it is 1+2 years warranty.

Either way, i'm not too sure if it is worth getting this TV by AOC. They do have a good rep for monitors and based on my research, AOC has acquired the Philips tv division.

warranty is the same for both since under philips singapore. 1+2 basically means 1st year inclusive of panel, 2nd n 3rd year exclusive of panel. Basically dont expect too much from philips, especially at this price point. Its hard to find 40inch FHD led tv below $400. Comparatively, if you ever pass by any Giant supermart outlets you might wanna take a look at Skyworth led tv. I saw one of their 40 inch FHD models going for $389.
