Wa, Tokyo taxi like alot more ex the Singapore sia.
At first still intend to take taxi go hotel when reach.
Cause will reach Tokyo around 1605.
And with parents so don't want pull the luggage around.
Now maybe have to reconsider liao.
short distance and with 4 persons in a cab, its a sensible thing to do. especially you have old folks with you. But if you have 4 huge luggage, maybe the cab wont be able to haul them all in.

Taking taxi from Narita to hotel in Tokyo? that would cost you a lot. If you want to avioid lugging big luggage up and down of stairs and platforms, consider the Airport limousine. Also if possible, travel light, your back will thank you for it.

i will be traveling to tokyo and sapporo from 23june to 6july. May i know whats the feasible way to travel from tokyo to sapporo ?

i looking at two flight search.

search #1 PRICE IS SGD1086 per person
Flight 1: Tue 23-Jun
SIN 08:10 NRT 16:20 DIRECT 7H10M
Flight 2: Mon 29Jun
HND 12:30 CTS 14:00 DIRECT 1H30M
FLIGHT 3 MON 6JULY
CTS 08:00 SIN 17:30 1 STOP 10H30M

SEARCH #2 PRICE IS SGD912 per person
Flight 1: Tue 23-Jun
SIN 08:10 NRT 16:20 DIRECT 7H10M
FLIGHT 2 MON 6JULY
CTS 08:00 SIN 17:30 1 STOP 10H30M

both search airline is JAL. is the price expensive?

think it is ok for JAL.
but there are cheaper alternatives. u can find cheaper flights to Tokyo, then take budget domestic flight to Sapporo. Peach Airline going to have NRT-CTS flight starting from end march this year.

btw, ur search #2 doesn't have flight from Tokyo to Sapporo. are u planning to take train?

Okay, thanks alot for the advise!
Actually I would alight at Haneda airport.
Currently accomodation haven found yet.
Still deciding whether Hotel or Airbnb, and location wise too.
During October it wouldnt be very cold right? Like this luggage wise shouldnt be a problem since don need to bring thick clothings.
Actually my parents not really that old yet haha, around 50+ only
But I wish them to walk too much or carry luggage around and walk alot.
If airport limo how much would that cost roughly any idea?

Thanks a lot!

BTW, you have an idea between the two end point (ueno station of skyliner and access narita tokyo station) which one is more accessible to a taxi stand - less walk, less stairs, less up and down.

Both of it is 3-4km away from our hotel so it will be more easier for us.

Really didnt expect Japan one so expensive sia.
Currently have decide on accomodation yet, will try to look for 1 which is near to Yamonote line which is recommend by fellwo forumer.
Isit okay if stay near disney land? Found a airbnb accomodation near there which is below 1k for 6 nights and looks okay too.

Are pocket wifis easily available for rent at hotels or a yodobashi branch perhaps? Also, what would the estimated charges be for roaming using Google maps only for a week? Just a rough estimate would be fine.

PS: Just remembered bmobile. If i order by tonight, can I get the SIM card by Tuesday afternoon?

Disneyland is on the outskirts of Tokyo metropolitan. while it is very near, u will have to change train at Tokyo station for most places u are visiting. and probably change train twice to get to places like Asakusa. along Yamanote line is much better coz most attractions are along the Yamanote line so u dun need to change train

Both Ueno and Tokyo are 2 major transport hubs in their own rights. Toyko is recently renovated, so expect better ramp and signage. Ueno is more dated but doesn't mean its harder to maneuver

Try to look up their station map. But no guarantee one, sometimes map say have lift but when you reached there its under maintenance, so you know lah that kind of things happen. best is still travel light. Use the 24" luggage if you can.

Hmm.. Okay thanks!
Then I will skip this accomodation and try find others.
