Hi dimitri_can,

Do you know how to use the postal services in japan? I'm thinking of sending some merchandise back to singapore by sea when I visit japan next month.

How do I tell the postal clerk that I want to ship these parcels by sea?

TIA

Dear Dimitri_can

Have briefly look through the thread and see you have been very helpful.

After reading so many pages, for people like myself and family, all adults not so adventurous and lazy, we thinking going to Osaka/japan, you think better to join tour in singapore cos we all lao liao...cannot take stress of running up and down bus and rail but want to eat good japanese food, what is your advice? Thank you.
Hi there,

thanks for your compliment.
been also trying to survive with teaching full time (being my own accountant, secretary, teacher, etc, etc) and it`s not easy.

It`s fortunate that i still could spare some time to come here and advise people. I feel that this is something i wanna do and enjoy doing.

For tours, it might not be so good because of the tight timings, etc.

For good Japanese food, i can recommend some nice places like Matsuya, Ichiran, Ootoya which are quite good food. =)

I missed the Genki Sushi in Shibuya. this time round going Kyoto/Osaka. Checked and seems like Osaka got no genki sushi. Kyoto seems to have one outlet 1hr journey away.

Search the address on Google map. looks a bit weird eh. anyone who understand jap or been there before can help to verify?
very far...

@dmitri_can if you were in Odaiba and there was a huge meteor coming to end all life on earth and you had one last (lunch) meal, where would you have it?

Hello ppl,

Planning to go japan from 13 Nov - 22 Nov 2015.

13 Nov - 2pm reach Tokyo Narita Airport
14 Nov - remain in tokyo (use JR pass to travel JR lines tokyo)
15 Nov - traveling to Kyoto

17 Nov - Travelling back to Tokyo (use JR pass to travel JR lines tokyo until 19 Nov end of 7 days)
22 Nov - back to Narita Airport.

My plan is to use the JR pass on 13 Nov from Narita airport to tokyo and starting the 7 days.
so its how it will be used

(13 Nov) Tokyo Narita Airport > Tokyo > Kyoto > (17 Nov) Tokyo > (22 Nov) Narita Airport

Is it still worth it to buy the rail pass? vs single trips?

Thanks
