I'll be going Japan for two full weeks. Wish to cover Osaka Kyoto Fuji and tokyo. What is the best way to travel?
teleportation. go to the teleport gate at all major train stations, tell them where you want to go [to be safe write on a piece of paper in english], they will set the co-ordinates for you. after that just walk through the gate.

Best way to travel is get multi cities. Arrive osaka and depart tokyo. However not many direct flights to osaka. Another way is get a JR rail pass and travel to and back.

From my experience at Hakone..unless it's a really clear day....chances of seeing mt Fuji is quite slim....you will have a much better chances of seeing Fuji from Kawaguchiko

If you are sitting at front of the plane, still got small chance. If you are sitting behind then forget it, cos reach immigration 200 ppl in front of you

On a clear sky,Mt Fuji may be viewed @ Tokyo
e.g free viewing from a building next to Tokyo Dome.

If you prefer your photos to have the cityscape with Mt Fuji in the background...it better be a pretty clear for that to happend...

The proximity of Kawaguchiko to Mt Fuji means that you will have the best chance to get a clear shot of Mt Fuji compared to other locations s like Hakone or Tokyo

almost impossible.
even if there is no crowd at the customs, u still need to make ur way around and get to the JR office. then still need to change ur exchange order for the JR pass, and make ur way to the platform.

the 8.50am train may still be possible, but i think 9.15am is more realistic.
anyway, can just play by ear, unless u got some schedule to meet.

yah...my point is....Mt Fuji is super big... I agree that you probably can see the mountain from alot of vantage point in and around Tokyo.....however..the difference is whether you can see it clearly and whether it can be captured nicely on a camera without remnants of cloud blocking the mountain...Mt Fuji is notorious for being cloudy....its estimated that there's only a 30% chance of seeing Mt Fuji on a cloudless day throughout the year..so 100 days out of 365 days..
