almost impossible.
even if there is no crowd at the customs, u still need to make ur way around and get to the JR office. then still need to change ur exchange order for the JR pass, and make ur way to the platform.

the 8.50am train may still be possible, but i think 9.15am is more realistic.
anyway, can just play by ear, unless u got some schedule to meet.
thanks for the reply
so 8.50am still got chance la
i rushing to take super view odoriko 11.08 from shinagawa to kawazu, hope can make it on time

am thinking of a short trip to hokadate late april - may (1 week)
is it worth it to go hakodate - lake toya - noboribetsu - sapporo ?

also would it be better if i land is hakodate and fly back via new chitose or just new chitose alone?

Furano area is more for summer and lavender flowers right?

*p/s will be taking their public transport*

hakodate to new chitose airport is about 3hrs by train. so if u can land in hakodate airport, u save a lot of time and money travelling back and forth from new chitose airport

how do you think of this itinerary

3D Kyoto
1. nijo castle + kinkakuji temple + arashiyama
2. gion + yasaka shrine + kiyomizu dera temple + gion shijo ginkakuji temple + inari
3. no plans yet.

2D Hiroshima
1. bunny island
2. Itsukushima shrine

4D Osaka + Nara
1. osaka castle + dotombori
2. day trip nara
3. USS / Aquarium
4. llss and fly home in evening
hiroshima should go miyajima and peace park . miyajima alone will take whole day tho .

it makes more sense to do open jaw from this itenary from the perspective of time and money...however..do note that the only budget airline that fly into Hakodate Airport is Air-Do....you probably get a lot more options at Shin Chitose Airport

I see.
should be cheaper travelling SIN-Hakodate, New Chitose - Sin than doing that 3 hours in between right?

Btw is this plan ok for spring? Or should I be going Biel/Furano?
like opposite directions from Sapporo...

depends on ur airfare. as mentione by Nalgene123, u have more choice for new chitose. time wise, landing in hakodate may save u some travelling time. but it will also depends on whether u can get a favourable connecting domestic flight from Tokyo to hakodate.
so still need to check wat are ur avail flight options.

I assume you'll be flying in and out of Tokyo. To save money, consider taking advantage of ANA's Experience Japan fares. One way fare HND-HKD or CTS-HND is as low as 10,800 yen.

If you're taking ANA to/fro Tokyo, you can consider booking their Japan Domestic Add On Cities fares. $90/180 one-way/return.

yes i checked that already. I check the JAL one. It is actually no different when I book from the international page (as in i check the price from SIN-HND +10800yen *2) vs (SIN-HKD, CTS-SIN) the price macham similar
