Nov is fine and I doubt you need the gears (other than maybe the gloves) that you mentioned unless you are going to places like Mt Koyo. I personally would not use gloves as it restrict the use of the hands in Nov.

A good warm jacket plus thermal wear should be enough.

I am planning on a 7-day trip to Osaka. These are some of the places that I would like to visit -
1) Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan
2) Dotonburi
3) Shinsaibashi
4) Minami
5) Nanba Grand Kagetsu
6) Sumiyoshi-taisha shrine
7) Universal Studios
8) Osaka Castle
9) Umeda Sky Building
10) Kids Plaza Osaka
11) Tempozan Ferris Wheel
12) Tenjimbashisuji Shopping St
13) Shitennoji Temple
14) Kuromon Ichiba
15) Shinsekai
16) Osaka City Central Hall

a) Any more places in Osaka noteworthy that I've missed out on?
b) Will there be time for a 2-days visit to Kyoto or anywhere else, besides Osaka?
c) Is it better to get a one-day subway pass based on this list?

Cheers all!

I honestly think 3-4 days in Osaka is enough. Anyway is this your first visit? And will you be travelling with children? You might want to build in some day trips to Nara or Kyoto or even Hiroshima though..cos i feel its such a pity to travel so far and yet visit only a single city.

depends on ur own tolerance to cold. nov weather start getting chilly especially at night. city areas are usually not so bad though.

boots is probably not necessary. but i gloves will be good. dun really need to get heat pack coz they are selling it everywhere and is very cheap there.

maybe can visit the ramen museum as well?

7 days is more than enuf for osaka. u can visit some nearby places such as kyoto, nara and kobe.
kyoto is about 30min from osaka and cost 540yen on JR train
nara is about 50min and cost 780yen
kobe is about 30min and cost 390yen

u may wanna skip those shrines and temples in osaka if u dun have enuf time. kyoto and nara are better known for their temples and shrines
