planning to travel to japan for the first time.

couple of qns.

1. plan to stay 4 days at tokyo and 4 days at osaka. sufficient?

3. From Sg fly to tokyo, any difference between landing at haneda or narita airport? I've checked and for the timings and price wise, JAL lands at haneda seems to be better for me. My concern is transport cost and option from airport to hotel.
sufficient or not quite personal, depends also on how much of each city you want to see.

From my experience, both airports are pretty okay. The difference is where the link to Tokyo city ends up at. If you are aiming to get to the Yamanote line then it is pretty even besides the travel time.

If you got too much luggage both airports also have airport limousine links.

wad about shinjuku granbell hotel?

It looks good from the pics in booking.com

About 15 mins walk from shinjuku station

Seems like tokyo hotels have generally small rooms?

Or do u guys have recommendations of similar price ranges? Not sure if 15 mins walk to the station in tokyo is considered normal

I mean similar price range as granbell?

U were saying yes to my comment about the small room, the distance to station being normal or both?

Yes to the rooms in Tokyo are generally small. I donít know the price range for Granbell. So itís best if you quote your price range here so that others could advise you better. As mentioned, prices can be very low or high depending on the season youíre visiting.

After Golden Week I supposed? About •17,000 per room. Itís on the low side. If you want to stay in Shinjuku only, you might as well consider these few: Mystays, Ibis, Tokyu Stay or Sunroute. Sunroute would be the closest to Shinjuku station and bus terminal. Takashimaya is just across the hotel within 5 min walk.

Hotel? No. Hostel? Yes. Not sure about Osaka, probably no too. Youíre traveling during the Golden Week. Super peak season.
