Which is a good site to track sakura forecast? Preferably one that is updated rather than average for the past years.

Which hotel is preferred to stay in Tokyo? I read people recommend Toyoko Inn etc. if want to go alpine route from Tokyo, is it better to stay one night before starting the route? Go by which way to Alpine better? Nagano or Toyama?

https://www.tripzilla.com/tateyama-a...om-tokyo/58699

Any idea where she got the Alpico express bus etc?

Thanks!

Also my first trip to Japan.

Planned to go on my last 3rd day in Toyko. will be resting after my trip. Hahaha. Ya tired, and should be enjoyable too.

A lot of info to read. For bus from Nagano to Ogisawa, it cost abt 2600 yen. Im not sure if this cover in the Tateyama Option tix. As only this bus has price info, the rest of transport does not have price info. Can be purchase from Alpico transport info center in front of Nagano station.

The rest of transport in Apline route is covered by option tix which cost 9000 yen.

Yes, I saw that. The picture shows the option tix covers. Yet the Tateyama website shows pricing. So I cannot be sure too. Can be quite confusing. Maybe Im wrong too. Hahaha. Play by the ear on that day.

I think you might have missed this. “A great value, convenient ticket that covers all transport links between Dentetsu Toyama Station and Nagano Station.”

I will be spending time in tokyo first before heading to osaka and then flying back to sg.

Can I know if I need to get JR pass?

Not really sure what it is...I only know I need to get shinkansen pass to get to osaka from tokyo.

rule of thumb: JR Pass only if you do a return journey from tokyo to/from osaka/kyoto. but do your own calculations.
