Hi I got a Question on 7 days JR pass. If i exchange my pass at 3pm today, does it expire at 259 7 days later? Is the 7 days pass by the hour or will it just expire at 2359?
add on one more point for greater clarify, e.g. you start using on 1 November, last day to use the pass is 7 November, which is the 7th day.

Bro what's your experience on using credit cards in Japan ?

Are the conversion rates given by the banks reasonable ?

Which bank gives the best rate ?

the bank mostly take the rate of the day itself

if you know you got Yen at a good rate and it has since risen, when you are over there. Do not use anything but cash

How do we define the first day of osaka amazing pass? From the first use of the pass or the day of purchase?

Just in case I see anything expensive items like watches and branded goods there that are too good to resist.

Then credit cards will come in handy.

Not going to bring extra cash just to standby for that.

check your card provider and see when they calculate the amount payable

23-27 Nov: Staying in Osaka
27-29 Nov: Staying in Hakata (beside JR station)
29 Nov: Staying in Miyajima Ryokan
30 Nov: Staying in Hiroshima (beside JR station)

The above is one portion of my 2 week trip to Japan. My concern is the 27-29 Nov, I am thinking of what I should do. I have bought a JR Pass so I'm trying to maximise it. My accommodation from 27-29 can be changed.

1)Day trip to Nagasaki on 28 Nov, including a Gunkanjima Tour at 130pm.
Problem: Wasting time with 2 way trains, not sure if can catch the 1030am tour instead as 130pm eats up most of the day. Should I stay 1 night in Nagasaki?

2) Day trip to Yufuin on 28 Nov, with 1 night there

Any advice which is a better option? I'm trying not to spend both days in Hakata, instead trying to go further and explore, even if it might be rushed. If I'm interested in a certain city, I will make a trip back in future.

Kansai Thru Pass - 5200 JPY
Per trip within Kyoto - I guess somewhere from 200 JPY to 240 JPY
How many rides you need to take to make it worthwhile?

From Kyoto to Osaka - 500 JPY
From Osaka to Kobe - 400+ JPY
Within Osaka & Kobe transport - 200 JPY
Do you need a Kansai Thru Pass???
