I recall buy in japan not cheap and airport will be more ex than bic camera etc
what is bic camera?

Nowadays shinkansen can be book through app.. U can download the smartex app.. But only can book 1 mth ahead.. I like the fact I can change timing if I can't make it on time so the ticket won't go to waste.
So you just book over the counter?

This is very close for Haneda. Pilot might be purposely flying that route?

Hokkaido in autumn (late sep to early oct)

planning my annual trip and shortlisting hokkaido or nagoya + surroundings at the moment

concerns for hokkaido
- is hakodate worth going still? (fort goryokaku is more for sakura)
- furano tomita farm (what flowers are there? are food stalls still open?)
- might wanna check out obihiro but if i'm doing hakodate too, it might be quite tedious to travel (undecided if taking train or driving)

Fort goryokaku in late Sept/early Oct not quite autumn colour season yet. It's still a pleasant place to go to but mostly still all green.

Furano will have some flowers but definitely not peak season. Not sure which food stalls you're referring to cos I only stopped over briefly. Had lavender ice cream, melon, hokkaido milk etc.

didn't know fort goryokaku is meant to have koyo too.

and woah the furano flower fields still look pretty damn vibrant! btw did you drive or take train around? i'm trying to check the schedule on hyperdia but it's not out yet.

ya i mean those stalls selling the lavendar ice cream. always had the impression that outside summer, they don't really sell melon stuff.

I drove, no experience with trains in hokkaido (other than Hakodate to CTS lol). Furano farm tomita shops were open selling jaga butter and lavender ice cream, and the next door tomita melon house were selling melon, melon pan, milk, etc.
