January 2020 - CNY Trip to Japan

Dear All,

I am seeking advice on which cities to visit during the CNY holidays. I will have about 6 days, and plan to stay in 1 city to explore.

I have visit Osaka, Tokyo and Sapporo already, and am having a hard time on deciding where to go next.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Nagoya or Fukuoka. Direct flights. You only wanna visit cities? Nothing wrong to revisit the cities youíve been to. Can see different things in different seasons.

Hey guys thank you for your replies.
I spent 1 week tokyo Jan 2018 and 2 weeks in Nov 2018 seeing osaka and tokyo.

And this year Nov i will be doing the same osaka tokyo for 2 weeks again to catch what i missed last year.

Hence, for Jan 2020, looking for a new city recommendation to go explore.

I guess cities is because ease of flying in and out.
I read some guides of nagoya and fukuoka, but all the recommended sights are sight seeing.

Between nagoya and fukuoka, which city has more attractions? Like theme parks, and like one piece tower kindda stuff.

Silk air goes direct to Hiroshima iirc. Nagoya has Legoland but the reception is not as good as expected.

Could only recall Huis Ten Bosch in Fukuoka. As for Nagoya, thereís Laguna Ten Bosch in Nagashima Resort and Legoland Japan? But it seems like you are more keen with theme parks. Those would be in Tokyo and Osaka.

I went to google huis ten bosch and it looks like a mini holland.

Looks like a nice place to visit.

I think i will fly to fukuoka arrive in the morning and take the train to nagasaki and stay for 3 days and then go back to fukuoka for another 4 days then back to singapore. Wanted to add in kumamoto as well but i am afraid it will be too rush.

If you liked to see flowers, Nabana no Sato inside Nagashima Resort is also famous for its flowers and winter illumination event. Can be a day trip from Nagoya. Laguna Ten Bosch (Nagoya) is also under the same management as Huis Ten Bosch (Fukuoka).

interested in winter sports? January can go ski'ing/snowboarding in the Nagano mountains (pair with day trip to snow monkeys) or the yamagata mountains (pair with day trip to fox village and kaminoyama onsen). Or even both.

For Nagoya,
Nagashima Spa Land! not theme but amusement park. Rides not bad with way lesser queue than Fuji-Q. Also try out their yama-chan

Interesting. How does this compare with Hitsumabushi Bincho?
