Osaka/Kyoto 11 days

Is $1.7k enough for 11 days in my japan trip? Osaka 5 days, Kyoto 6 days. Planning to have the cheapest breakfast option at maybe their convenience store almost everyday, lunch and dinner will be slightly expensive. But it's my first time there so i hope i can get some advice Thanks in advance! This is my first time using hardwarezone too hahaha. Oh, I'm also going to universal studio japan for a day!

Never hurt to bring a bit more but 1.7k should be enough. Simple breakfast at kombini is around 200-300 Yen. Lunch is around 1000-1500 Yen and dinner maybe around 2000-3000 if you splurge a bit. If you are paying by card for the other expenses, 1.7k should be sufficient.

If you are not using card at all, you need to factor in other costs and emergencies such as transport, souvenirs, snacks, etc. You can check http://www.hyperdia.com/en/ for a rough estimate on transport costs.

If you're travelling solo, you can explore nearby towns as well such as Nara, Kobe, Himeji, Arima onsen, etc.
